Coming to You Live (Streaming) from SXSW 2017 – TuneIn, FADER FORT, Pandora

SXSW is almost upon those of us who are attending, so we’re trying to keep up with emails and RSVP’s while prepping our bodies for the marathon and packing major doses of vitamin B12.

For those who can’t make the trek to Austin, there will be a number of opportunities to experience the minute-by-minute happenings, performances, and exclusive video that even the people there on the ground won’t have access to. Plus, audio streams broadcasting live will give everyone in Austin and beyond, stories, news, and music they can take in on the go.

TuneIn SXSW Live Stream Programming, March 10 – 17

Plenty of lively conversations are in store for the pop-up TuneIn Studio and Official SXSW Podcast Stage, which will make the JW Marriott their home during SXSW. The audio streaming network’s SXSW programming plans include sports talk shows and popular podcasts, including The Young Turks, who will no doubt, in this #%!# political era, have plenty to talk about during SXSW.

TuneIn has broadcasted from many festivals before, but this unique array of personalities is a true reflection of this 10-day conference festival convergence. We’re talking the Black Girl Nerds podcast along side Two Man Weave with actor Michael Rapaport and NBA star Kenyon Martin. Holden Kushner and Geoff Blum talking MLB. Femchord, who also have their own SXSW session, “Safe Space to Rock: Combating Harassment in Music,” and MarketFoolery waxing stock market ups and downs. The Modern Vinyl podcast chatting music (duh), and Reality Bytes with Stephanie Beatriz and Courtney Kocak discussing life, love, and relationships.

And most appropriately for those of us who will be on-the-ground in Austin, “How Did I Get Here?”, hosted by Austin-based musician, Johnny Goudie, who we hope will give us the answers, including latitude and longitude.

March 15th through the 17th musical performances are set to broadcast live on TuneIn with their series of showcases at Easy Tiger Bake Shop and Beer Garden, including the Bella Union 20th Anniversary Party on March 15 featuring BNQT with Jason Lytle of Grandaddy and Fran Healy of Travis, Holly Macve, Mammút, Pavo Pavo, Will Stratton, and Horse Thief. The Hip-Hop Beat Showcase follows on March 16 with Cam’ron, MadeinTYO, THEY., Keyle, TYuS, and Warm Brew; and the Big Machine Label Showcase on March 17 includes A Thousand Horses, Delta Rae, and Midland.

Listen along at TuneIn Studios @ SXSW station.

Now in its 16th year, FADER FORT returns with four full days of musical performances from March 15 – 18. In 2017 The FADER returns to their roots in a “nod to The FADER’s inaugural showcase in 2001,” moving the festivities to a more intimate venue at 1209 East 6th Street (Volcom Garden) while still presenting a multi-use, indoor and outdoor environment to mashup music, the arts, drinks, lounging and playing.

The line up thus far includes Young M.A., Cardi B, the voracious Downtown Boys that always give it their all, Lizzo, Kap G, Dams of the West, and Bishop Briggs, with more annoucements expected as the March 15 draws near.

The FADER is expanding their live streaming plans, which will continue to be hosted on TheFADER.com/FORT, but in 2017 will capture off-stage experiences hosted by comedian Zack Fox. Each day remote viewers can tune in online to Fox taking them behind the scenes to check out exclusive artist-on-artist discussions and performances, as well as the on-stage shows. Daily VOD recaps will also be posted to TheFADER.com/FORT with additional video content available via FADER’s Facebook Live and Instagram. CONTINUE READING
